To me its just an old map.say uterus or Mindano but larger scale. Anyone that says they love this map and bash the old one are hyprocrits. Last night was constant 40-40 furballs.
Curious though, other players have submitted maps and have no feedback for HTC on their maps, and the Fester map goes into rotation within a week?! What gives, if there are more maps please throw them in que, variety is good!

Could be any number of reasons. Other maps more like the pizza, isles, and trinity maps that people seem to ***** about all the time. Other maps could have a buttload more bugs than Festers.
Actually, it is all due to Fester being part of the illuminati.

Like how you can Vulch the vulchers from neaby base if needed
...like how you cant spawn PT's 100 miles from base
... like how you can wait for milk runners w/ an Osti at your strat area
...like the roads around bases, adds good structure to base area
... like the "Easy on the Eyes" textures
... like how you can go hunting with high fuel consumption aircraft and RTB
...like the natural fronts that involve many bases
Yep,the Newness factor has somthin to do with it,
but i think it may be my favourite map,we shall see
* If I were to add anything,, Fictional names for regions of map, and Rivers with Bridges

what would be cool is if a bridge was like a VH object that allowed forward spawning ... bridge is destroeyed no more forward GV spawns :)

When I fly (Europe) the numbers are lower. So on infinity I not infrequently have to up a P-51 (for range) and fly for like 20 min to find something to shoot at.
Don't have the time for really getting involved in strategic gameplay (although I like to help with capturing a field) so it's plain air to air mostly.
Focussing on the 109 G-10/G6 this tour as this is the plane I have the most trouble with after a year. Yesterday I managed 6 kills with one in a single sortie and was able to rtb. Was fun.

i think bases are too close IMHO.... Shoot someone up and damage them and they can still get home and land with ease....theres comes a point that close bases can cause problems like this....theres nothing like having to fly 50+miles home with a smoking engine.
oh and plus, at least fuel porking is close to useless since 25% fuel is enough to attack 100s of bases ;)
30+ miles between bases is too far, but the <10 miles in this map is far to close i recon.
Great map though :D 2nd to trinity...

So far I think it’s great.
Went to one base, the fighting died, looked around went to another, kind of dead as well. Ended up at a third and had a hell of furball. Total time between all three bases, maybe 15 minutes?
Bases kept changing hands like crazy too. The lines were constantly shifting, it was great.
Had a blast, change Big Isles V bases to airfields and you might achieve similar results.

why are close bases a good thing? :confused:
sure, bigisles 50-100 mile treks are OTT but i realy dont see the problem...
but, i REALY like this map. Strat is well layed out, and Zones look like zones (if you know what i mean)

I think Fester's new map is a tremendous improvement over previous MA maps.
I do think Overlag has a point...I would remove a few of the fields in areas where the density is highest.

I've been pretty indifferent to most of the maps released, though I get kind of annoyed at the high alt thing on the Pizza map. But this map has got to be the best one I've ever played on! Finally, a map where it's easy to find action, and one where I can fly my beloved Spitfire I and find people to engage!

Very good map indeed.
The best thing are the "channelled" ground vehicles! In the other maps (with the exception of trinity which has at least some variations of gv concentration) the gvs are an irritating "milk running" factor. They can hit everywhere with little intelligence information unlike the radar bar and radar dots for aircrafts.
And it's more realistic too. In WW2 it was a difficult task to make a ground attack with many side moves.
