Title: heading to austin

Ok gang, heading to Austin in a couple weeks.  I need some recommondations for hotels within walking distance of 6th street.  and not freaking 200 bucks a night.......its the weekend of the 17th oct.  Is something happening that weekend? lots of places booked.

All the cool people are going to be at the mini con that weekend.

There's an Embassy Suites right by the hooters on the other side of the river about 3 minutes away from 6th street.  It's a decent hotel.

taking a new "friend" and as much as i want to introduce her to the geekiness within me, I will have to pass on the mini con for her.....so other option is get her drunk and within walking distance of the hotel.

Well, if you don't want to go the geeky route, you should impress her with your classy friends.  I'm sure Fatty and the other Austin 'tards would meet you.  Just be sure to watch your fingers around the wings.  There have been incidents before.

Just pay your respects to SRV's statue in Zilker park, on the south side of the river near Auditorium Shores.  Squeeze out a tear or two and you won't have to get her drunk!  ;)

haha, just looking to get toasted and have a room within walking distance.....and NO FDBs, this woman is actually attractive.  Just the sight of an FDB could melt her face.

Yeah, we all know what the real reason is behind your "No FDBs" policy.  Upon gazing at our magnificent tubby beauty, she would instantly become yet another FDB groupie and would drop you like a bad habit!  :D
