In the US, heroin is defined as a "Class A" drug. Supply, and even possession of this drug ie illegal - ie it is banned, even though fewer people die from heroin abuse than from gunshot wounds!

But the heroin trade in America is worth billions of dollars. So why ban it when banning it clearly doesn't work?

easy answer beetle ---------money --the criminals make sure it stays illegal-----the authorities have jobs and make money-by both stealing money from us (called taxes) and by the criminals themselves who bribe a great deal of said authorities.....

And by stupid people who think they know better than the person doing them what they should do....

Why have a speed limit when in fact speed kills tens of thousands of Americans every year? More than heroin, more than guns?
