u could easily make one of those with probably $10 in materials from home depot or autozone....thats INGENIOUS....I'm surprised no one has ever publisized this befor...we had to hear about it in an HTC forum lol

Fekin Awesome!!  
Gonna build one this weekend!  
Gave me inspiration to add smoke filter that uses the many fans I have in my tower (can almost use it to keep my beers cold).  
Possibly a top mounted ashtray that pulls smoke down into a filter and directly out the back.  
Still kicking it around, let y'as know if it works.

Anyone stop to think how many Watts of power that thing uses?

I'm guessing, but I would say 40Watts per use. Just be sure your PCs power supply has the extra power available

My car lighter is fused with a 10 amp fuse, lets see

volts X amps = watts

120 watts at 12 volts

You intend to extact the smoke IN your computer?
Not a smart thing to do if you ask me. (Considering I'm using 2/3 keyboards a year... they all collapse under tonns of ash)

What scooter said.  That damn thing will draw half your PSUs total capacity......sure it's only for a few seconds but ferchristsakes dont light one up during a furball.

hmm maybe convert the bottom most drive bay into a pullout ashtray.. But you are asking for trouble ashing near your pc with all the fans sucking in air.

LOL i love what i started here!  I sure as hell wouldnt draw smoke thru my PC nor would i even think this thing would be a good idea even if you had a metal drive bay cover to mount it in because all its gonna do is heat up your system.
If you got a strong PS and and empty METAL external drive bay (like a box) and mount it on top of your PC that might be an idea , Cut out the back  of the box and put your ash tray there!:D

you can also use your CD drive tray as a retractable coffee cup holder.;)


I try to treat my PC with a bit more finess, but thats just me.:D
