Title: perk items
Post by: devil22 on October 09, 2003, 02:01:52 PM
i havent read hte boards lately and this might be beating a dead horse, but i have to know. in ah2 will there be perk items? also why should there be perk stuff any how. a friend of mine left the game because of the perked items and the lack of points there in to use them. I know your thinking that he had to be a whimp or what ever, but look at the perk system. you have x points available and an item like the 262 cost xy points. thats all fine and well, if you have more than xy in points and can spare them. but lets say you tank the bird on take off, why should you lose the points??? i think you should only lose points if your shot down by a human operated gun/rocket. also lets say you have a perkie and you have gotten some kills and you tank the landing. ok fine. lose the points you earned in flight, but not the ones you used to use the item in the first place. i think the perk system shouldnt exsist at all. i mean come on people, there are some players who have thousands and thousands of points and dont use them, while others have few to none (like less than 120 for all 3 categories combined) and would love to use a 262 or a tiger but cant. all planes, bombers and gv's should be free for all of us to use. peace out and good hunting.

whether ur a good pilot or not, perks are easily attainable. Once u get the hang of the game and improve your skills a bit, you will notice that gaining perks is very simple and easy.

Take me for example, I'm not a very good pilot, yet I fly about an hour a day and I have a decent amount of perks (1460 to be exact). Take in mind that ive lost plenty of 262s due to bad piloting skills and discos. Ive been playing AH for more than a year and a half, yet it wasnt until about 6months ago that I really started to get the hang of it, getting about 8 kills an hour. If you fly a low ENY plane like the 205, than you will gain perks in no time and losing 200 points wont be such a big deal.

I must warn you that the point of this game is not about flying the 262 or the tempest. Theyre really not worth the trouble flying until you get a lot of experience.

I must have given the wrong impression. I am not sayin that it is all about flyin the 262 or the tempest or anything else thats perked. I am saying however that I dont think that it is rigt to "charge" a pilot to fly a plane. but if you must "charge" him or her something, it should be in the spectrum of reason. the 262 is a rather easy plane to fly if you know what your doing yet it can cost 4 or 5 times that of the C model corsair (sp??) which is much more difficult to fly yet it can cost as little as 10 to 15 points. I am not going to say that i am the best pilot, but i am a rather decent fight bomber pilot hitting most ground targets and getting as few as .09 points or less per flight. if we must have a perk point system at least get rid of the bloody decimal values. since you were kind enough to point out your point total i have about 380 combined with all 3 cats. again this is just my perspective. and all of you can do with it as you wanna. as for you cracker4head
BITE MY SHINEY METAL prettythang!! we can take it to the sky cracker.
