With the new rotating maps after reset we could have very small maps, with one to three bases per country and very close. Several scenaries with very different tiny maps. Lately there are few players online for the extension of the actual maps. Having these small maps we will have massive aerial/ground battles and the maps will rotate much faster. We'll only need much more defended bases for these maps, each base with 8 FHs, 8 VHs, 2 BHs and doubling the actual ack number. Other small maps could have only three ports and three CVs, one per country, others could have only 3 VBases, one per country, etc. If well planed, each scenario could be solved in one hour, then rotating for another very different, and the for another, etc. Having the same big map for several days until reset is, IMO, boring. And, IMO, with so small maps, the terrain detail should be much better.

Hmmm.
What I like is the possibility of switching to larger of smaller maps based on the number of players logged in. I'm sure some of the non-US times would really benefit from a smaller map. The problem is you would have to trigger the switch on a # of users or something.
Interesting possbilities though.

I think smaller maps (128x128 miles) would be cool to try out. Atleast the fights would be intense. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I hope the beta terrain will be back. Its still my favourite.
