Is this a good idea?
Rate my teachers page (http://www.ratemyteachers.com/index.jsp)
I was listening to the radio and they where talking about the site.
Taking calls from teachers. Some teachers where pretty upset about it, and the site is being banned from school computers.
Still, I think it is interesting.

Its kind of interesting to click on my old high school and see how its faring. A couple of :( from 1 or 2 raters (not a large enough sample size to draw a conclusion - probably a disgruntled student who got busted for passing notes), and an awful lot of :) ones and  ones.

i beleive the argument about this is over a year old...either way gofaster is right

I don't know if it's a good idea or a bad Idea, but it made my day! I have a friend who was rated with a "picket fence"
1-1-1
Oh man, I'm dying here... thanks for the link.

I think it's a great idea. some of the best teachers I had where a real pain back in the day. they expected a lot from me and wouldn't except mediocre work. looking back I can see what that did for me and how much easier it would have been for them to play the buddy and let me slide.
now that I'm older and don't know all there is to know in the world, it's kinda cool to be able to go back and geve them some recognition.
it would be nice if they seperated the vote into catagories( curent or recient student, or alumni). it would be interesting to see how many teachers who get trashed by current students get better reviews by those looking back.
