stupid pet tricks? or a law enforcement getting silly.


A German man is to appear in court charged with teaching his dog to give the Hitler salute. The 54-year-old man, identified only as Roland T., named den Hund Adolf and taught it to lifts its paw up "straight in the salute on command." Roland T. could face up to three years behind bars for "using symbols of unconstitutional organisations." Adolf, meanwhile, is headed for an animal shelter.

the local animal protection organisation, says the dog shouldn't be judged for what its owner taught it." After all, it was just following orders.

What country is this happening, Germany? Id say it's pretty silly even for Germany but flat out stupid if it's a US case.

NUKE it must be Germany.  

Judging by "German man" and "Unconstitutional Organiztions"

Sucks that the dog has to go to a shelter.  But I don't see any other way.  

Lastly i almost suspect a troll because of krusher's last line: "After all, it was just following orders."

Well what is the german translation for "shake a paw?"  I bet it would work.

I know a very good dog trainer that teaches dogs using the German language.  I guess it is a very good language to teach dogs with because of how distinct the accent is. Eg. the lack of long vowel sounds doesnt confuse the dogs as would English or French.

in fact i think it is kind of funny.
Now if he was teaching his son to do it that would be different.

I taught my dog to growl when you say "Democrat" (teeth flaring and all).  :rofl   Gotta love australian cattle dogs, very easy to train
