Title: New startup option for AH2
Post by: AcId on October 15, 2003, 12:48:02 PM
Was wondering if ya'll at HTC might allow options to be passed with the ah.exe so that we could instantly go to one of the modes that the clipboard presents on startup.

Edit the AH icon so that the executable line reads:
ah.exe -online This would launch ah and go directly to the login prompt. Maybe even allow another option to bypass the user login and just assume the current username and password is ok.

just one of those "would be nice" things.

I don't understand what your asking. the exe loads very quickly, we immediatly get the splashscreen where the clipboard floats to the front and waits for us to make our selection. Adding command line options could allow us to automate a few steps. What map are you referring to? The terrain doesnt load until you chose the arena. (I'm referring to online play)

Why not just go straight into MA when you hit the MA icon? Then you can have another icon that goes straight to CT etc... kinda like shortcuts.

I agree, it  would be better, It gets annoying after a while having all the clicks.

Nilsen,
Thats kinda what I'm asking for. If we could pass arguments to the .exe we could make our own Shortcuts. I wouldn't want to force anyone to change their current method. Would just like to be able to get online with fewer clicks :) It's always the same process for most of us who go online, why not make it quicker.
