For me. Nearly unflyable with my rig. I'm assuming/hoping this is still because alot of optimization still needs to be done, hence the beta grapics assessment.
On my rig,
P4-1.7
712meg
MSI FX5600/128meg
DX9b
I get it looked like an average of 7FPS at 1024x768 with the default settings.
Same setup in classic I average 70-90FPS.
Not sure what sort of details you need for optimizing. Maybe an offical posting of what you guys are looking for in a "report"? Nice standardized format we can use.

Sundiver i feel for ya :P i also got 7 or 4 fps and i run a 500mgz p3 with a gforce 4 64 meg card.
I assumed by rig wasn't up to snuff but now that i hear yours isn't im not gonna bother upgrading this computer to play ahii. Just gonna leave lol.

Its a Beta = not for everyone.
Yes its buggy, planeset is severely limited. (Reminds me of the original beta)
Yes it has potential in places.
Terrains, field layouts are awesome.
HTC is working hard on it, & will be able to optimise once they have some data to work with.

I'm getting a decent frame rate on a 1.2 GHz Athlon, 512 Mb RAM and 64 Mb Geforce2 Pro.

I'm getting 50fps on an AMD 2Ghz, 512mb RAM and a GF4 4600ti 128Mb.

Had no problems installing and testing out planes/gv's. Eye candy is lookin' good! Was hittin' the high twenties to forties in fps. Can't wait for more!

I think its cool, gvs are still annoying as hell, and those weird tree things...when you are in a gv, they are like a stack of of floating pancakes, but space out between each other. I hope thats just a beta thing...
lots of misisng textures, thats ok tho
tracers are great, think they did a great job with that
sadly, no damage model....I kinda wanna see that....
I like the 109 and spit cockpits, they are what I am looking for, but the pony one feels like a hi res version of the one we have.
The c47 i think is the best looking plane, the cockpit is still not done though.
The new mouselook thingy...I really like that. Makes it so much easier, the pan view was always to slow to whip around and check your six.
The airfields look amazing now.
overall I am very excited. The final product should be awesome.

I agree completely. I hope there are some side textures in the works since I keep running into them when buzzing along low to the ground. Also, from a texture standpoint it would be nice to see greater contrast between the grass fields and the treeline and forrest areas. They all kinda blend together for me now. All in all though, looking pretty good so far.

Doesnt look to bad, definetly some bugs but this is only 1st day of the beta, after its all smoothend out and done i think itll be one of the best games out as far as ww2 air combat.:aok

That's the way it's done in IL2 FB (the trees) and probably some other sims that I don't know of. Looks great from the air (when not too low of course) making them solid would probably just drop FR more, don't know if it'd be worth it.
