Title: Bombay-doors and drag

Is drag for bay-doors modelled? I can't see any noticeable drag generated by them...

S!

I would say that the bomb doors wouldn't cause so much drag, but the bomb bay itself.Same as the landing gears are down and the "gear bay" causes drag.Modeled in CFS2 BTW.In AH planes lose drag almost completely when engine out...No matter what You do the plane just refuses to slow down and dropping gear/flaps,increasing RPM on prop have minimal effect. As a glider I can do tighter curves than with engine running(secret of Niki's performance maybe? Personally, I've not noticed any detriment to performance (i.e. drag) due to bomb bay doors being open. Subsequently, I open them quite early on my bomb run and leave them open until I leave the target area.  One less thing to think about...
