Title: Strange problem with web browsers
Post by: mora on October 16, 2003, 06:28:53 AM
I have a strange new feature with my web browser. Im using Opera and IE and they both refuse to show some images. Currently there should be a AH special event advertisement in the top of this page but instead there's a text "[AD-IMG]". Why is this, is there some kind of ad-blocker in my system, how do I disable it?

What's worse it filters out some pr0n too.

Hmmm.. Just a guess.  I use Opera, IE, and Mozilla Firebird.

Opera has some image related problems and IE isn't always happy using Sun's JAVA.

For IE:  Go Tools, Internet Options, Advanced.  Scroll down until you see Sun JAVA version whatever and uncheck it.

For Opera:  Download the newest SUN JAVA version.  Be sure it doesn 't get re-checked in IE.

My Best

I just re-installed windows XP and the problem still persists. I don't currently have Opera or Sun's java installed.

Correct way is to UNINSTALL and replace.
