Title: nVidia Problems?
Post by: MwKillz on October 16, 2003, 11:07:41 AM
I downloaded last night guys and got a miserable 16 fps. Im running an AMD 1800xp plus with 1gig of RAM and an nVidia geForce 4 4200 128mb card. 16fps? Im used to 60+! Tell me there is a better way.

I've got an Athlon XP 1800+, 512mbs DDR266, GeForce4 4600 128mb and Windows XP Professional.  My frame rates range from 25 to 75.

Have you updated drivers?  Are you using your card brand drivers or the generic nVidia detonators?  What OS are you running?

I'm getting low FPS too with a GF3 128meg card.  Had to revert back to the 41.09 drivers after the 45.xx drivers kept on crashing me to desktop at the title splash screen.

What resolution are you running?

AMD Athlon (1700mhz) 512mb and GeForce 4 4600 Ti Windows 2k

I'm up to date with all the drivers from nVidia and seeing 20s thru 59fps (59 is my max due to my monitor's refresh)

I tried these out, and they are amazing for AH1 - went from constant 60 FPS to well over 100FPS.

They are not working right in AH2, so I'm wondering if anyone else had luck with them

OK - I disabled the palletized textures and it's running smooth in AH2. I'm getting anywhere between 40-150 FPS depending on terrain at 1024x768, 32bit

Why in the world are you draining your system resources by running a SB Audigy2 when the EPOX 8RDA+ has fantastic sound on its own?
