Title: A game in "Jewel case packaging"???
Post by: Tarmac on October 16, 2003, 04:16:42 PM
I found a great deal on Homeworld 2 (a game I want) for 25 bucks.  Normally goes for 50.

http://www.gogamer.com

The site gets good reviews on resellerratings.com. Only thing I'm concerned about is:
"This item ships in jewel case packaging and includes game manual."

Any idea what's up with that?  That, plus the fact that the game is only on sale for 2 days, makes me raise an eyebrow.  Think this is legit?  Does this mean the game just comes with no pretty printed box?  Why would that halve the price of a game?

Call them and ask.

Maybe the package was damaged and they are selling the jewel case only.

it's just the CD, CD-case, and manual.

looks legit, $15.00 off the full package price seems right.

There were a few "mint" games on eBay that were going for considerably less than the newly packaged shelved games.

They were identical software-wise, but it was the Taiwan version.  Might want to check to see if it's in enlish, Tarmac :)
