My grandpa always said "Pay as you go or don't go."
Instead of buying it now, why not save for the next few months and buy it yourself? The best way to know if you really want something is to have the discipline to save up for it.

Tarmac is right, save up. Use credit for buying a home, not a PC.
Try this: add the total number of payments together and compare that with what you pay if you used cash. Most people would never pay 20 to 40 percent more for something if they didn't have to.
If your trying to establish credit you should save up the entire amount needed for purchase, use half to make your purchase and finance the rest. After 6 months take the remaining money you had saved and pay the balance.
I hope this helps.

Build one for less.

Twist is right the best thing you do while young is build good credit and good credit habits. If you arent disciplined enough to follow his advice pay for it out right. You dont want to start off fugging up your credit.
If you have the money and want to build credit put up a decent down payment and save the rest of the money. make a few payments and pay it off. But dont decide to spend the 900 on something else you need to save it.

another way to go might be to build the comp a few pieces at a time--you will pay no interest and build a super system in a couple months and also allow a little time for new things to come out and prices to drop on certain items...
Most computer stores will allow you to start with a MB/CPU and tower and build on it as you go. Pay for each piece as you can afford to.
