Title: Crash

Crashed on my system about 1 hour into testing, 1600x1400 32bit max res & stuff 30-40fps; would not start again... however uninstalled & reinstalled ran at 1280x1024 ran ok (so far)avg. 50fps
Windows XP Pro
Catalyst 3.8
Direct X 9b
Intel P4 2.4Ghz
Abit IT7 Max motherboard 512Meg ram
ATI Radeon 9800 256meg
SoundBlaster audigy 2 Platinum

man with that video card you should be able to run wide open in 1600x1200 res.
Do you have the latest drivers?
Im not an ATI guy but maybe someone can tell you what driovers to install for best performance.
I am running a g force ti 4600 128meg card and I am getting 45-78 FPS 1600x1200 with ALL the eye candy on.
With the same CPU!
So you should be doing much better than me.
I think it must be a driver issue.

Ya it was runnin fine, thatwas just an average; went up to 80-90 in lvl flight,and up over a hundred in zoom....... all latest drivers, minimum was about 25 .......like i said it ran for an hour
im not to worried about that, just that it crashed n had to reinstall to get workin again:D

As a current high-end system player - playing Mohaa and Warbirds3 you have to
be aware of the heat the graphics cards generate running at max cpu load.


try cool down the graphics card with additional fan(s).

Using 70watt peltier on CPU with Zalman noisless heatsink, with 2 additional 80mm fans. Also have Zalman heatpipe GPU cooler with 2 additional fans.....heats not too much of an issue
