 There are a couple of great quotes in the article.....

LOL!  Safe for who?  the doctors? :rolleyes:

...good for him...thats just a terrible way to abort...if your going to abort do it during first 3 months of pregnancy...

Stupid to outlaw something that is so rare, that the exceptions to the law will still allow the same number of procedures to be done. Playing politics with lives... sad.

 At this point, the physician and patient have only two reasonable medical options:

 D&X abortions: (a.k.a PBAs): The cervix is dilated. The fetus is delivered feet-first. Its brain is removed. This shrinks the fetal head, and kills the fetus. The fetus can then be removed with less damage to the woman. About 0.04% of all abortions involve a D&X procedure.  
 Hysterotomy: This is major surgery, essentially identical to a Caesarian Section. It involves significantly higher risk to a woman than a D&X

My God.

If the child is healthy...why not attempt the Caesarean?  

Will somebody explain...PLEASE... why the life of the mother takes precedence over that of the child?  Threats to the health of the mother always seem to be given a higher priority than that of an unborn child.   By the third trimester of a pregnancy the argument that it is just a "fetus" no longer applies.
