Aces High uses a random subset of ports in the range of 2000-5000. These ports are safe to open (4400 is the only questionable port and if you have the security updates from Microsoft, then it is safe).
The actual ports that represent a security problem are all below 1000.

thanks for a quick relpy
sorry for not knowing much about pcs but will it be ok to turn firewall off to play the game or do i have to arrange the ports and if so how?

I cannot tell you the mechanics of setting that firewall up, but the ports 2000-5000 should be opened for TCP and UDP.

Beshure that you allow incoming / outgoing traffic for those ports also . alot of guys /and types of firewalls just allow incoming traffic .

Zone alarm is free and works well with AH

Open Norton Internet Security - on the top menu open options, then advanced options, then firewall. then "add" Aces High.exe with the add button (browse to the AH.exe and select it)) as the allowable program. Let both TCP and UDP through on ports 2000-5000 as the selected services, both incoming and outgoing. Keep your Norton Firewall running when playing - works fine, should block everything else except Aces High if you have it on "medium" or default security setting. Privacy can be kept on "high"
