For those that want muti-engine control

Cool, hope it'll work just as well for both combat and civilian flight sims. I'm sure it will...individual throttles for p38, mossie etc! need more twin engined fighters :D

Does AH support multiple throttles?

AH has 4 throttles that can be assigned to axi :aok

So why not just map the throttles to another USB controller?
In a pinch, you could probably get away with mapping the twin-engine throttles to the toe brakes on the USB CH Pro pedals.
-
You can map them to another controller, but wouldn't it be less clutter if you had one that could do the job of four? ;)
And yes the toe-brakes can act as throttles, it's been done before. But wouldn't it be better to leave toe brakes to toe breaking and the throttle to throttling? :D

Pretty odd looking device, but why not?

tres cool
but a little to expensive. I'd think about it if it was $100, what I paid for the yoke.
-
Depends on the demand. I'd shell out $200 for a throttle quad if I knew it'll work well and was reliable. If there is a huge demand for them, I could see it selling for $100(2)-150(4)
Imagine the dualie with a P-38? Talk about turn advantage! :)

Oh it will be reliable, well built, and will work like a charm. This is CH we are talking about.
My Flight Sim Yoke (same one in that image next to the quadrant), which sports very similar construction to what I see in those prototype images, works like a champ in AH. The construction is top notch solid.
I actually use it on Aces High to fly the P-38L, it has three levers, I assigned one to each engine manifold, and the other to control both RPM's. Works like a champ, and I have no problem dogfighting and kicking ass.
My only beef is that the levers are hard to reach on the middle of the action.
Anyways, the yoke is an impressive piece of hardware. I dont see why the quadrant should cost 150% more for a device that is less functional and seems less complicated to build. Maybe they will not build many, so they need to make a big profit.

Except for the assumption that you're going to have a flat, thin table edge to clamp the damn thing to -- the feature I dislike most about the design of both the throttle and the yoke -- and a couple of other similar pieces of hardware I've given up on.
I suppose I could set up a wooden crate to my right, clamp the throttle box to it, and have the throttles in the historically-accurate position, but I don't know whether I could get the Cougar throttle axis and the CH throttle axes all recognized simultaneously, and just switch stick sets when I go from a single- to a multi-engine plane.
