Title: Tank squads (Armor Battalions)

Very new to AH. I'am wondering if there are GV exclusive squads.

Also haveing problems finding the ground battles. Are GV's indicated on the map or are they considered NOE so not displayed on DAR.

Would like to hook up with someone to learn the in's and outs of AH ground combat.

Best thing to do is go to the score pages and find a good GV player. there are some really good ones, busher is one who springs to mind. Just ask for some pointers most players are more than pleased to spend 30mins in training arena. Alas im am absolutly crap at GV driving, so i cant help you that way.
As for GV squads. Not all map terrains are GV friendly. Mickey Mouse map is about the best..Mindano is the worst( to many hills)
Maybe the new russia map will be GV friendly because historicaly thats where there were a lot of heavy armour battles..

Hi there,

Given the fragility of all vehicles on the ground in relation to trees and sheep a ground war is not feasable at this time. All terrain is now guarded by killer trees and sheep. A small collision with either has the effect of destroying a tank. Given the surplus of these killer features a quick drive to the action isn't much of a good idea.

I highly reccomend looking up one of the NH squads. Those buggers are ALWAYS killing me whenever I try to do any type of ground mission  :)

Sheeps do not kill GV's any longer as far as i know.

Panzers and flak panzers have great armor now, I dont know how long its been since you attacked one maverick, but they are tough puppies. Ive taken 6-7 passes at one in blazing 20mm's hitting him @ 400-200 away and still he got me on the final pass.


If there are not any GV squads, start your own. Personaly i would love to see some more ground war in the MA.
