Title: car noise-what it actually was

dirt inside the wheel. they were very puzzled as to how it got in there. my guess is that, since they did a lot of pruning at my apt complex, some idiot stuck his leafblower under my car and sent the dirt inside the wheel.

You mean, like on the backside of the rim?

Odd that dirt would make a screeching sound.  I would've thought it'd just work its way out eventually.

no, it was actually inside the hub, I don't know much about cars but it was somewhere where it wasn't supposed to penetrate unless you drive on dirt roads a lot.
