This is the the BK squad,
As the CO of the UKNIGHTED 357th FG, i highly recommend that you change your avatar that includes the photo of a former squad member. This is one of the most disrespectful display I've ever seen. There maybe some bad blood between some members of our squad and yours but to include a moditifed picture of people is going out of the boundries. Requests have been made for copyright and trademark rights for the images and also text related to the UKNIGHTED group.

As long as we've had Lazs in the squad, I hesitate to ever say that the BKs have ever been "classy." Plus SuperDud's mullet doesn't scream class, but he does have good taste in boxed wine.

It's not that we think that our former squadmate is defenseless I beleive that any CO or XO of a squad would come to the aid of their current or former squadmate if that person was being subject to public humiliation, it is also the fact that you used our material without our premission for you own amusement. That is not acceptable in our opnion. I hope that you can appreciate and respect what I am saying.

As i said in a PM to Nava, i made the picture, it was purely out of jest. i apologise if anyone took offence to it but it was all in good humour.

Umm I don't mean to sound like Captain Obvious here, but we all have had experiences with this fancy shmancy thing called the "Internet". Anyone who uses an ISP has access to it, including whatever you put out there on it. Just want to make it clear that we didn't "steal" anything or take it without permission, he posted it on the internet, maybe he should think about this before he posts anymore pictures on it.
Also, I'm not sure what is so bad about the picture. Its actually not that bad once you fung shui the "I'm getting an anal probe" look.
Just take it easy guys, I've heard that wearing foil on your head reduces your chances of getting a brain tumor :noid

Do you own the photo, or does it belong to xMarine? Are you hosting it with his permission? Make sure you even know who is the copyright holder first.
Second, we can agree that the image was in violation of copyright but falls within the fair use doctrine because it is parody. Are you willing to go to court and spend all that money to find out if they agree?
Regardless, and contrary to how Lute seems to be reading it, this was far from a respectful request to remove anything. Threatening a lawsuit based on your own shaky knowledge of copyright law does not seem like a wise first step. Perhaps a PM to the parties in question would have been a far more suitable course of action all things considered. Crying to the General Discussion crowd doesn't endear you to anyone.
In any event, the joke has run its course, and I naturally expect that the images/avatars will disappear as a consequence.

im requesting in a nice manner, not to use our squad images for your own entertainment. I now realize this is a difficult task to ask respect to be paid for our property. I myself cannot speak for other peoples images that are posted on the internet but i can speak for what is on my property. Lute, it's not a victimization thing. If you essentially demand someone to do something and then threaten legalities if they don't, you have to expect that those who are the targets of the threats will react negatively whether or not they are right or wrong. In other words, this could have been handled in a far more diplomatic manner outside of the public eye. What I find interesting is that the actual people who are pictured in the avatards have not said a word. Hub just talked to xMarine about it last night in the MA and he thought it was funny. HE GOT THE JOKE[/i]. The other two have not commented nor asked for their pictures to be taken down.

1.) good humor? Yes i find it offsive because this attack was done so at our squad expense, I know for a fact that the pictures were posted on our squads website. if this was all done with good humor then at my request this whole issue would have stopped. obviously you dont intend to pursue this in good humor and continue your counter attack against the claims i made in public.
2.) pm? even in the public eye the avatars are still displayed. I couldnt PM all those that used the avatar. At the time it became overwhelming to note who all used it.
3.) The first attack is the avatar on our squad and its former members. The second attack is that i made it public to all? I made it public to NOTE that we would require permission for use of our images. That is all. Yes i blamed the BKs but FURBALL and MORPH have publicly appologies, which i might say again.. wasnt required. All I'm requesting is that BK or whomever please respect the rights of the Uknighted Squad images. (And once again thanks to FURBALL and MORPH for understanding.)
4.) The reason i bring the copyright issue to this is again.. the images used were from our squad website. I don't claim to be the master of copyright law but i do believe that permission is required by those parties whom the images belong to.
I'm not trying to personally attack anyone here, im just requesting respect for our squad website, its contents, and its images.

The more you try to say this is about your popularity, notoriety, or your squad, the lamer this thread gets. Again, as was the point initially, it was all in fun. My posts were merely to indicate that I don't really know, nor care, who any of you are. I laughed at an excellent photoshopping of a tinfoil hat. I think, with the obvious exception of you, that everyone pretty much either got the joke, or wasn't freaking out if they didn't. Considering that your own squaddies have engaged in the same sort of thing using somebody else's property, and mocked not just a single former squaddie, but an entire squad, I really don't feel that you have much right crying your eyes out over the avatar.
For you numpties going into hysterics about the BK pictures, none of those are actual photos. They were all taken from the net. They probably didn't want to become photoshop fodder, but they were stupid enough to put their pics on the net too. Live and learn.

My Self Respect? hmm so to respect myself i should come down to your level? I respect that the BK's are a squad that will egg on any individual whom they deem weak and worthless. But I do ask they dont include our squad images. Yes, most of their humor is humorous but it can be without our images. Then their are those like you who have an issue with my request. I'm not sure why it is a hard thing to understand.
I'm not here to create an argument, Just a REQUEST for You'll NOT TO USE our SQUAD PICTURES. Well this begs the question: Who wouldn't? I mean really...when faced with these types of decisions, the benefits of the fist vastly outweigh those of the gerbil.

The picture that says it's me is actually one of morpheus (granted, it's about 3 years old at this point in time.) Todd was wasted on wine coolers, and screwed the picture gallery up. The pic of Grm is actually jaxxo's, and the pic of jaxxo is actually lazs'. As soon as it's fixed, the links will point to the right pictures. As it stands, my photo isn't even linked to, or isn't on the site. I'm not really sure.

I stumbled onto this thread and at first glance almost felt like we should lighten up some … maybe we should. Might also add I am most likely one of the oldest BK’s both in virtual years as well as age. Also for those who took this way to seriously my apologies on behalf of the BK’s. X-marine, if in fact you did serve my thanks & heartfelt salute to you. My nephew is a marine currently in Iraq (Basra) Lima Company 1st Battalion. Lord knows they have lost 9 comrades in the last few weeks. Justin was lucky; he only lost hearing in one ear for a week.

not a hijack, but the hearing thing...I tore my right ear drum once, hearing took almost full year to come back. It really is hard to deal with because it throws your whole body off, it shot my uquilibrium to **** for the 1st few weeks. Hearing returned to 100% luckily as well.

Ok my post was out of place to call out the news. I guess it obvious now there is trouble in paradise, and it's ironic that it was kinda brought on this thread. I'm sure the events that happen was a strain to those parties involved. Either way, i do respect the great virtual pilot that Todd/Lev is and im sure he knows that we (Uknighted) are tickled to death when we get lucky and shoot him down. The Uknighted squad are just a bunch of guys that play this game to get away from the stresses of real life. Sometimes that stress carries over to the BB.

I will be anxiously awating that post. I have PMed a couple of BKs asking to be told what the heck was going on. I didnt get any response. Not that I felt I deserved one.
These "Issues" have spilled over into and onto quite a few different threads.
Not that my opinion matters but here it is anyway....
I would rather it was all in the open for everyone to see or all behind closed doors for none to see. The bits and pieces that are public obviously can portray a warped view on whats really going on.
On one hand its none of the publics buisness whats going on....... on the other hand you fellas have made it our buisness by making some of this stuff public.
I have of course formulated my own hypothesis on these events. I have no idea if my ideas are even close to the actual events.
So yeah..... Even though its absolutely none of my buisness..... I am anxiously awating that post.

Levi's throttle is broken and has not been able to fly, so he hasnt gotten around to booting him. Morph is not man enough to just walk away, he has to turn it into a big showdown between them. If I, or anyone else had boot priv's he would be gone now.
