Title: Spikes anyone?
Post by: StSanta on December 14, 2000, 05:36:00 PM
In case you see me do weirdo dumb maneuvers (dumber than usual that is), do not fear; I have not invented a new trick. This is the explanation:

and another example:

I've tried the pots Mrniel graciously sent me (thanks, they're actually a bit better than the ones I was using    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) <S!> ) as well as some others. tried cleaning them. Nada helps. Hopefulyl the new ch pots get here tomorrow but I feel it might be the electronics or something that's at fault. Will just have to hope for the best. In late January ch pro throttle and fighterstick usb will be out, so that's next    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif).

Make sure poll with interupts enabled is NOT checked in your windows stick setup.

That is not do to pots, notice how all axis spike at once.

Polls are unchecked. It worked fine for a good while, so shouldn't be joystick port (sb64 pci), even though I get high numbers on it with the test program.

If new ptos don't solve it, I'll buy a game card and see what happens. Cannot afford a completely new HOTAS USB CH rig yet.

Thanks for the help. The spikes are there always on pull backs and when I pull the stick to the right. Of course, if I do both at the same time, I get horrible spiking.

Maybe it's the game port then (even though it was fine before)?
