My kids' PC was destroyed during my move last week, so this will be a big help getting them back up & running.  At 6 & 7 they are already gamers & YouTube heads.  Thanks again so much bro.  I'm set except for a vid card, and they don't need anything new or fancy, that's for sure.

Question:  The RAM is of two different brands.  I know you are not supposed to, but will I be able to use them together?  In other words, are they the same ratings, just with different brand names?
BTW, I'll just be putting Windows XP on this machine, so if I can only use one type of the RAM I should still be good to go.  They just play games for young kids and some learning programs, nothing CPU or GPU intensive at this time.

 :salute and

You should be OK to stick the lot in! - Just make sure you follow the motherboard manual regards fitting pairs, probably one pair in the yellow slots and the other pair in the red. If you use a 32bit Windows XP (the most common version!) then you will only see about 3.5GB.

Being that the brand is the only difference they should work together fine. I think if they ran at different speeds it would just down-clock the faster one to match, but in this case both are 800 anyways.
I never actually used them together so I'm going off how DDR3 works.  :)
