Title: Using staged missions for wirbel and M 16 practice

I was setting up a beta staged mission where a string of AI fighters attack a field so a player in a wirbel, M16 or field gun can repeatedly shoot at high speed diving targets (think vulchers).  No GV in staged missions so the plan was the player is assigned to a plane and bails at mission start and then takes out his GV or gun of choice.  Problem:  Offline the mission ends when the player bails and in a custom arena you can't launch while a mission is in progress.  Any body know a way or setting to change this?  I think the custom arena can't launch while a mission is in progress is something new to beta since I have done that in AH2.
