I was reading through the forums and came across an old thread. Several people have made 1k kills per tour, but 2k is something few have ever done. I think I got 1,000 once, but 2,000? No way.
Here's the few that I know of that managed this impressive feat...
Grizz
Skyyr
Krupnski
Rusyn (Who broke the scoring system.)
Anyone else?
-
If you've got the time it's not that hard.
-

Then why have so few done it?

Most people have more important things to do

Because for the most part it's taking far more time than most have been willing/able to spend on a video game.
That being said, I'm a member of that sad 2000+ club :uhoh

I havent caught vraciu 2000 times in one tour... :bolt:

Awesome. I shoulda’ known the score guru would do it once at least.
-
It was much easier to do in their day. Having 120 people in a furball sure makes landing double digits easier.
-
Went back and looked at my scores in 2008, my peak of no life being single. 800+, the amount of time to put in is crazy. But the biggest is the amount of players, the amount of targets back then was insane. Landing 9 kills a sortie was possible for clowns like me.
-
I wonder if it's possible to find your all-time score without having to calculate each individual Tour.

Rusyn did it last year when he broke the scoring page.

Give me the tours you flew and I'll run the numbers for you. It only takes a few minutes with Spatulas program

Woof, that's going to take some thinking...
Under Saxman I flew regularly from Tour 70, through Tour 129. After that I only got on sporadically before finally suspending my account. I came back for a bit under Saxman2, but only briefly (I can't remember exactly when that was).

This.
Also, the timezone you are living & playing in can have a big impact. US prime time vs NZ/Aussie prime time, for example.
Ask the snail
The tool the snail uses is far too cumbersome for a quick query like this. Spatulas old tool was much better in this regard. :old:

To give some numbers: at a sustained kill rate of 10 kills/h (which would be phenomenal), one would need to play 200+ hours in a single tour to get 2.000 kills. Actually, he would have to play even more, because no one is in a sortie all of the time. Aces high records only the sortie time (fighter, bomber, attack, vehicle)
In tour 234, the average total sortie time for the sampled 1070 pilots was 22 hours. The median total sortie time was 11 hours.
Only 31 pilots did put >= 100 hours into the game, one had >200 hours. (And we don't know if any of them shared his account with someone else, like a family account at home for example)
When I did my 2000 kill tour (I had a few more coming close), I accumulated 238 hours 'inflight'. That's a textbook case of 'no life'. :joystick:

Those K/D ratios are really bad on most of the 2k guys.

Tours 70-129, first picture is your top kills tour (you add them for the totals for that tour), second shows the top planes you got kills in total for tours 70-129

Huh, surprised to see I have that many more kills in the 1D. Although I suppose that also comes from the 1D having been in the game significantly longer, and it includes GVs.
-
FYI, the -1A was introduced slightly over one year after you joined AH, in tour 82 :old:

I think I maxxed out at 800 one tour, back before HT fixed the typhoons roll rate :devil
I remember landing one kill streak of 35 in the uber-tiffie.

Pretty rad skills for a new guy! Watched him do a fur ball in a Duece, 1 v 6 killed em all, turning that duece like a spit

I have heard that by multible players that skyrr and rusyn are one in the same and got their scores by not playing fairly. I could be wrong, but it is what I heard.

Since scores really do not matter and do not represent actual skill, who really cares. :aok

And here I thought 170 kills in my little M-8 for the tour was something. :frown:

I heard from one of the two men who collect the credit card numbers that they're not the same person and both played perfectly fairly--they're just better than you (and me, and about 99% of the people who have played this game). I am not wrong, and it is what I heard.
But then, it's always far easier to trash people who aren't here to defend themselves than it is to admit some folks are just really skilled at this game.

I once payed for a player with a credit card. let him stay in my house for a couple of months, but that's not the issue. anyway about a year later I changed credit cards and noticed 2 charges for ah. called and was explained to me that the other player was still being charged on my cc even though he hadnt played for over a year. so no, being charged on 2 credit cards doesnt mean it isnt the same player. it doesnt mean it is either. I payed for the midway account for 2 years even though I hardly played on it also. that was on a different credit card but the midway account I knew about it.
I dont know it just seems suspicious that a new guy would be that good and play the same way.

A Pig named Rogent from a few years back used to run the 1,000 kill range several times but not sure he ever touched that 2,000. Not sure there is enough baby seals left in the waters to get these sort of numbers nowadays. Just us sharks...

Except he DIDN'T fly the same way. All I know is that Skuzzy confirmed they are not the same guy. He had experience in other games. May have been the shade of a guy like Grizz. Got bored with the childishness here and moved on.

I should see if I can get 2000 kills in my CyberM8 :D :D :D

Better that than the Tesla.

My best was a rather pedestrian 860 in fighter mode, scored last January and it took a crapload of hours to do it. It helped to not be working all month.
735 kills in the Yak-9T  , 97 in the Ki-43 and the rest single digits.

Skuzzy has done that before with skyrr and another starfox, only to have to the starfox confess it on a twitch feed with his antihorde squad (which was recorded). It was quite hilarious, especially the romantic kpop music starfox listened too.
-
Well I will say this... 3k+ hours of IL2 & DCS + Virpil gear has made me a lot better than back then. If the furballs were plentiful, I don't think it'd be entirely impossible to get 2,000 :)
-
i have never gotten anything close to 2k kills, but tonight I did land 57 perks in a b29, proud of that.

Perk bonus modifer of 5 at takeoff??
Just looked it up, that's almost three times more then my own best B-29 perk gain ever at 20.91 :old: :airplane:

Yup 5 multiplier, was only Knight on, did a little dance. Most perks i ever got was 62 in bostons and that was last night too.

I got 99 in a C.205 once, back in 2006... but can't really compare that, as the 205 had an ENY 40 (ENY scale was different back then and went up to 60, I believe), so it would be much less today.
Happened to come across a what I suspect to have been new player who sortied several times against me in a La-7. Still feel kinda bad about that after all those years :uhoh
In a bomber I broke the 100 perks line only twice (writing 'only' because getting perks in bombers is so much easier than in fighters): 139 in a Tu-2 in September 2016 (sunk a CV and a CA) and 114 in a Ki-67 in July 15 (destroyed 58 hard auto guns when deacking AA towers at the old central strat and shot down a Me 410)

Not even close. Rusyn was actually better.

The Grizz 100 Kills in a single 262 was pretty cool.
But Kazaa getting over 400+ with out dying was the best ever in the game. Someone can fact check the numbers as I may be off a little.

Yeah, sure. Let’s ignore the facts and go for Fake News rather than face the reality that someone is better than we are. It’s easier to blame ghosts.
Guilt by sensationalist accusation: “By the way, when did you stop being a racist wife beater?”
See my point?
Of course not.

I've flown against both gameid's although they both have some similar traits they have just as many if not more different traits / ways they fly, engage , merge when dogfighting....
I, too, also thought they were one in the same at first.... I don't understand why people keep on wanting to drudge up the past and/or insist that this gameid is a different gameid flying in "shades", when it's not.......kind of like that "beating a dead horse with a stick".jpg, that people post on these boards in some threads/topics.....
YMMV

Oh nice! I know whatever the number was it set the “record” at the time. Truly the one of the Greatest to play. If not the greatest.

I don’t think I ever crossed the 500 kills in a tour.

As apposed to stating we have no evidence that they are the same person.

I don't reveal PMs. You'll have to ask him for his communications or perhaps search my mail archive.
If the players in question were the same guy I can't help but think we would KNOW it rather than having to rely on a bunch of paranoid speculation by jealous players.
The fact of the matter is as soon as someone good shows up the kneejerk reaction is to say it's you-know-who. Rumor then becomes fact and a likely innocent party gets run out of the game. That's unfortunate.

No, and I think you'll find I rarely comment on him in passing. Where you, for whatever reason take and create seemingly every single opportunity to expound upon how he's the bestest most awesomest greatest pilot who ever played the game. It's kind of like watching the little dog hopping around Spike in the cartoons. "Spike is my hero because he is so big and strong!"
It is just really weird, watching a grown man spend so much time and effort being the hype man for a player in an online game.
Wiley.

You interjected Skuzzy and his affirmation into your posts within this thread, asserting that as proof. Why would you reveal contents of a PM that "Skuzzy confirmed" , but state you do not reveal PM's when asked by Hitech to back up that claim.? You should not have introduced it, nor brought Skuzzy into this, if you were not prepared to provide, or, would not provide authenticity.

"Stalking" is a pretty grandiose term for occasionally reacting to the love letter threads you post. But, as you will do anyway, feel free to continue on with your persecution complex. Still really weird behavior.

What he stated is no secret as others have said the same thing. I will not provide direct quotes of private messages without permission. Nice try.
It's irrelevant any way. People still spread lies about people, myself included, even when the quotes are available on this very board for all to read.
I don't care, frankly, other than it hurts the game to run people off based on rumor, innuendo, and jealousy.

Weird behavior is your incessant refusal to get off my leg [over a difference of opinion].
I hold both of the players in question (among others) in high regard. You're free to disagree all you like. I won't be chasing you all over the site to argue against it, unlike what you are doing here.

True I’d like to add if I may that the guy in question says harmful things and then edits his post to bait a response from people. Seen that a few times. I think you call that narcissistic
