Title: Distance to Town of Troops
Post by: Puma44 on June 12, 2020, 08:45:55 AM
How about an indicator when troops are within the maximum run distance from the map room?  Suggest that the “Troops” indicator on the instrument panel turn from Red to Green when at or inside their maximum run distance to the map room.

Additionally, have the town sups on the instrument panel turn Red to Green when at or inside the maximum distance.

And have the defender's end sortie stay red when troops are running after the enemy towers.

Alter the code that when you let the troops out and when too far away, they plop down on the ground and start sleeping.

That’s a really great idea.  Hopefully, HiTech will weigh in soon.

If they start dancing, then they should be doing John Travolta's "Staying Alive" moves as they're running to the map room.

Have you never seen the troops dance?

I've never paid close enough attention to notice if the troops were dancing.........lol.
I did encounter a lone trooper the other night, standing way WAY out from our base, all alone.  For some reason he wasn't able to keep up with his comrades on their trek to their doom.
Looked like he was lost, or taking a break, or just tired from being dropped so far away from his objective.  On further thought, it's probably just that he was a smoker......lol.
Regardless, I put him out of his misery................. :devil

How about having the lead troop carry a baton and the following ones various instruments?

Troops only dance in the hangar. You have to be in the hangar for a few minutes before they begin.

And even longer before they start to strip.

Yes, in the hangar after a few minutes.  Apparently...

And even longer before they start to strip.

This is a prime example of drug testing before accepting subscriptions.   :devil

That is a good idea, but in the meantime you can ask any player that runs troops on a regular basis as they know right down to which tree, rock, stone, ect.
where you can let them run.    :D :D :D

I am not going to mention any names but a fellow with the call sign similar to 72Dodge knows every exact spot at every base on every map.  :rofl
