Dang that was impressive. The detail on that thing is amazing.

It was scratch made and sports a Moki 250. There is a Sea Fury out there with the same setup. In my opinion, these two are the most scale R/C aircraft I have ever seen in my life. Differential brakes is just showing off...

That is one bad-mutha-RC plane. His landing tho, haha, looks like most of my landings in-game!

Most of the scale fliers are worse than this. The really good builders don't generally work on their flying. There are exceptions, as usual.

Watching Pat McCurry fly his beautifully crafted award winners with precision and excellence was probably the height of my R/C event experience as a member of an audience. Like you say, many builders do not fly their models in competition. Look at the Riley racers for example, they are flown by Horizon members and the like. Guys like Bob Violet, McCurry, Steve Thomas, Platt, they all built and flew their models in competition. Sets them apart, I guess.

that is sweet as hell

Wonder how many years before this size RC gets 22cal firing MG and the pilot flys through VR. Then owners have duels way out in the middle of nowhere.
