Hello,
Was there ever a BF-109g2 or BF-109g6 that had a 30mm cannon as the BF-109g14 and BF-109k4 do?

Not out of the factory , but some were modified in the field as I understand it

The G-6/U4 variant was armed with a 30 mm (1.18 in) MK 108 cannon mounted as a Motorkanone firing through the propeller hub instead of the 20 mm MG 151/20.[77] The G-6 was very often seen during 1943 fitted with assembly sets, used to carry bombs or a drop tank, for use as a night fighter, or to increase firepower by adding rockets or extra gondola-style, underwing gun pod mount ordnance.

This is correct.
The first 109G-6/U4 variants were built and tested in the second half of 1943.

According to the Gruppe level aircraft availability tables on WW2.dk, the first unit to receive some of the /U4's was I/Jg 3 in Jan '44 with only a handful of other units beginning to use them over the next 6 months. They became much more common in the second half of 1944 - also the same time that 109G-14 production began (Remember, there are no discernible difference between a late production G-6 and a G-14).

Honestly, it's not needed. Much like our Spit 9 is a 1943 variant, so is our 109G-6. At any point where a 30mm connon is needed, our 109G-14 is perfectly accurate as a late production G-6 and should be substituted as such in special events.

I think it would be a great addition. I'd certainly fly it.

There were K4's with 20mm too...
Can we get this option? Did any k4s have gondies?

Armament
The armament of the K-4 consists of a 30 mm (1.18 in) MK 108 engine-mounted cannon
(Motorkanone) with 65 rounds, and two 13 mm (.51 in) MG 131s in the nose with 300 rounds per
gun. Some production K-4s were fitted with the MG 151/20 as the Motorkanone. Additional
Rüstsätze, or equipment kits, such as a 300 L (80 US gal) drop tank (R III), bombs up to the size of
500 kg/1,100 lb (R I), underwing 20 mm Mauser MG 151/20 cannon gondola pods (R IV) or 21 cm (8
in) Wfr.Gr. 21 rockets, were also provided for.

I wonder how many people would choose the 20mm option vs the 30. With the g14 i usually end up going with the 30mm

The thing that I've always wondered is why you can't jettison the launchers for the rockets...
Found this: BR 21's tube launchers were jettisonable, and once the rocket had been fired the fighter could revert to a 'clean' profile.

A g2 with gonds is the best combo in a crowd as long as you are not trying to chase them down IMO
If you have to chase then the k4
If you can get a decent one v one then the f4

I've always greatly preferred the 20mm over the 30mm. Even in games that have it as an option on the G6 I never use it. I greatly prefer the rate of fire and bigger clip over the impact.
