When I try to install..The install will not initialize

initialization worked fine on my pentium 3 673 mhz 200mbram dell optiplex.  COURSE IT WONT RUN THE GAME!! YES this is good news.  I get a initialization failed -3 maingr3d_failed-1   which I assume means if you dont have a good enough video card you aint playing the game.


Did you try redownloading?  You likely have a corrupted file.

The optiplex has a inboard 8mb 3d rage pro 2x.  I did not expect it to function.

mine did the same thing at the highest resolution

machine 2.6 gig athlon, 512 ram ddr.  gforce2 gts 32 meg vid.

the game is unplayable even with min specs for me.. fr like 3 in flight.. time for an upgrade..


Just tried again... now I can't use the game at any setting at all..  same error message regardless of video setting..

started up fine

edited my video options, left game and re-entered.


"initialization failed -3 maingr3d_failed-1"

I can delete videocfg file and re-enter and fly, but evertime I exit
game and return, I get above message.


AMD XP 2000 1.67 gHZ
256 mEG RAM
nVIDIA GEOFORCE 2 MX/MX400 VIDEO
WIN xp hOME ED.
