Author Topic: AH freezes when going online (Read 307 times)

Hello,

After installing AH I was able to go online, but only once. Since then every time I try to go online AH just freezes as soon as I press OK at the logon screen. Offline works fine. Uninstalled AH and re-installed, still no go. Any suggestions?

Do you have a firewall running in background?
Like zone alarm?

Yup, that was the problem. I closed ZA and voila! Thanks.

BUT:
The first time I ran AH successflly, ZA worked in the background and asked me if I want to give AH internet access. I said YES and "remember" (just checked it again).

Is there a trick here? Didn't have a problem with any other programs.

theres a problem with the newest ZA ... I dont run it so im not shure if its been fixed yet or not.

The latest version of zone alarm 4.5.530 i think is not compatible with many games, AH is one of them.

Roll back to the previous version and all will be fine.

Apparently ZA have fixed the problem in the latest beta and will release it soon.

Zone Labs have just released a new update of 4.5 ZAP and they've fixed the problem with third party software - including AH. Just tested it and got in to AH with ZAP running in background.

What's more, the auto recognition of stored permissions worked this time too, so I didn't have to delete and re-add AH as a permitted site.
