Hey, I know you told me that I can post here for plane history and so we could learn about history.  Now, that you was saying about How many Vought F4U-4 Corsair kills before World War 2 ended.  Here's the answer(i think) that -4 which it has less 50 kills like you said I think.  Anyway, Capt. Ken Walsh of VMF-222 and his F4U-4 'No 13' BuNo 80879 with 21st kills on June 22, 1945(dont have a picture of him on F4U-4 but looking for it, but on that day was his last kills over okinawa i believe).

He ultimately scored 21 kills, of which 17 were Zeros.  He lost five aircraft: three times shot down and the two noted above on August 15.  His first combat tour in the Solomons lasted seven months, from February to September, 1943.  He returned for a second tour with VMF-222 later in the war, flying the advanced F4U-4.  He scored his last victory on June 22, 1945, downing a kamikaze Zero over northern Okinawa.  That's all I could find about his F4U-4 :)

Wow prety intense COmbat record he has. Ok this is what My Americas 100,000 say's:

June 10'45, F4U-4's of VMF-212 get First Victory.

June-22nd 45 MAG-14 (With F4U-4's scors it's 9th and Finial Victory of the war.

Now am I corect in assuming that VMF-222 and 212 are part of MAG-14?

Well, I just look up some paper that I write some about MAG-14 and it said that I got VMF-542 and VMF-223 with MAG-14 2nd Marine Air Group, but I suggest you look this website, because I just study this website and if you want to know more i'll explain you more.  VMF-223 MAG-14

BTW Kennth A Walsh died on July 30, 1998 at age of 81 and was true first Corsair Aces in WW2.

I believe that MAG-14 got 9 kills on Okinawa in Summer of 1945, but Im still looking more information about MAG-14 and F4U-4 in World War 2.  So, I'll let you know that If I found anything about them and just give me one week to find about them lol.  Also I just found some F4U-4 in WW2 picture and i thought you might like to see them.
