Gore hates me
« on: December 13, 2003, 12:15:07 AM »
If any of you guys read or see anything in the national media about a guy who showed up at the corporate office of his internet provider with a sledgehammer and beat the crap out of their servers .... it's not me.

1: I don't own a sledgehammer.

2: Gas is expensive.

3: I don't think I'd like prison life.

But I did entertain the thought and I sent them a scathing email about my being a hopelessly addicted internet sim-nerd and how they need to accomodate my needs better because if they don't I will wish them out of existance because I really do have Godly powers even if it won't keep me online. ;)

Thanks for inviting me, Sik. Sorry my performance was so lackluster (consisting of getting some hits on a zeke then running like hell from what appeared to be, for the most part ... to me to be the entire Imperial Japanese Naval Fighter Arm). Monty told me to run so I ran. Seems like the sky was fulla Zekes (higher than me) most the way back to Guadalcanal. I was two sectors away from the field with 80% ammo and 90% fuel in my main tank when the fickle finger of all too frequent disco fate decided to give me a time-out. Bummer.

Hope the rest of the guys did good. Again, thanks for inviting us.

So that is where the CAP over A10 was!

We had a milk run. I never saw an enemy fighter till we landed back on our CV. :)

We (Arlo and the F4Us) were tasked with recon/sweep of the Japanese CV area.

We ran into higher zekes, and had a running fight going west looking for the CV.   They got position on our high 6 but didn't have the speed to hurt us too much.  After we found the CV our group leader -SB- bought it in a collision.

I realized we were spread out thin so I called out a retreat to the east so we could rally with the main strike force.  Once we found them we swept ahead of them to the CV.  Some lower zekes near the CV got hurt badly by us and then we went back for more gas and brass.  Re-arming was fun, since the Russel Island base has the pad in a hanger and the F4U's ground handling isn't the best.

Overall the hogs did well and killed lots of zekes, but that should be expected with the speed and guns advantage.
