I was viewing my device manager in Win XP to check on net card status, went out of device manager and came back to recheck again and now device manager screen is blank. Made sure I am logged in as admin. rebotted a couple times but still is same ?????? Any Ideas????

I have read that plug and play has a big control over the device manager and if you shut this off and turn it back on that D-M should come back, well it didn't. Any suggestions?

you have to turn on Plug and Play in Msconfig /services , if not u cant even use WInXP native CD burn option

thnx Minus, I have plug and play enabeld in all the places msconfig and in services.msc. Turned them off seperatly and rebooted and turned back on rebooted and still nothing shows in device manager.
