Web site for CH users

For all you CH Products users out there I've set up a site here with a forum where you can download profiles, get idea's on CMS scripting and generally chat about your controllers and sims in general. I've got some positive feedback from the CH team who visited the site and have signed up in the forums. There's  a profile for Aces High for use with the Fighterstick/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals but feel free to share any profiles you have. The new version of Control Manager 3 now includes the .cmc file format which is a lot like the old TM .m50, .mdf, .tmm format where commands are stored in one file then added to the profile as needed so if you don't like the way I've laid out the profile you can easily edit it without having to remember key commands. While you're there take a look at this thread where Michael from CH products has replied on the type of future controllers you'd like to see from CH.

I registered, logged in, and tried to start a topic in the software forum (have a question), said I did not have permission to do so.

You need to use a valid e-mail address to register, once you input your e-mail address you will get a confirmation mail sent to that address which contains a link to validate your account. According to the forum admin you have registered but not validated your account by clicking on the link in the e-mail you should have received.

I do have a valid email address, and if I remember correctly I had to input it twice on the reqistration page.  About six hours later and still no validation email.  Will check tomorrow.  No big thing, I always have other options.

Thanks

unless my ISP is "banned." :)  Have run into that before.

I finally broke down and ordered a set of CH Fighterstick USB / Pro Throttle USB (Already have Pro Pedals USB) with nifty dust covers.

They will be mounted on my Fightersystems H.O.T.A.S.S (a piece of flight simming history - not made anymore)

I hope it will be worth the big chunk of my wallet.

In case the springs are too light for my tastes, is there a way to replace them with stiffer ones?

Hmm strange, other users have received their mail yours must be lost in cyberspace somewhere so I've manually validated your account for you.

Animal> Yes there is a way, it was discussed a while ago in the newsgroups, wish I had saved it. The less hi-tech way was adding rubber bands the slightly more hi-tech way involved some rubber grommets around the spring mountings I believe.

Appreciated Revvin. Having given up on the Cougar and gone back to CH, I'm sure I'll find this site useful.

Thanks Rev, I think the CH stuff is the future now that TM is not what it used to be.

Revvin,

Looks like a great start.  I'm having posting issues as well, though.  I registered as Red Dog and replied to the confirmation email.  I got the screen saying I was confirmed, but when I try to make a new post or reply to a post I get this:

Sorry, you do not have permission to start a topic in this forum

OR

Sorry, you do not have permission to reply to that topic

What do I need to do?

I've manually validated your accounts so you're clear to post, I've had a few more signups since last night and all have validated normally. Did you click on the second link in the mail? the first one is simply a stright link back to the forum but the second contains a code on the end that validates your account, if that auto validation link fails then the third link is the place to go and then manually copy the validation code into the box on the page in the link. What happens is that when you register it logs you in with your chosen password and puts you in the 'Validating' usergroup until you follow the steps in the validation mail, doign this reserves that nickname for you until you validate but validating users have no posting privaledges they can only read.

and thanks for the feedback

The site looks really cool to me Revvin, I know I'll be back to it when my CH setup is delivered... should only be 4-6 more weeks. :(
