"Average Joe: Hawaii"
« on: January 07, 2004, 08:45:20 AM »
Anybody see the premier of this?  I saw the first episode and the last episode of the previous one and that was all I needed to see.  I figured the same will be true for this one, too.  Kinda surprised she didn't vote out David The Mail Sorter.  Was surprised she voted out Robert The Adam Sandler Look-Alike.  Sean The Executive Chef may be the sleeper surprise to the final round.  My prediction: at this rate it will be the male strippers in the final round.

Of course it will be.

The twist in that the trader who is actually not that bad looking and will probably end up as one of the final 4 is probably totally rich.

You can see how they cast the show. Pick 80% total losers and geeks so comedic effect. Put two not bad guys in the mix. She keeps the average guys who are actually not that bad and seriously condsiders them as possible choice where if there were really good looking guys from the start she would have dumped them.

Then when she has decided the guy that is not the total loser (ie the trader) is her pick they add all the good looking guys to test her resolve.

In the last one she dumped a multi millionaire for a guy living at home with his parents.

She like the multi millionaire (she said he was a solemate), and she picked a guy she had totally akward converstions with who lived at home because he looked good.

I predict the same thing will happen this time as well.

Women who get on these shows are just too stupid to see the total picture.

Yeah, my wife made the same observations.  I put the guys in 3 camps:  Nerds; Fat Guys; Lunatic Fringe. We decided 1 Nerd and 1 Fat Guy might have a shot. 1 Lunatic Fringe might have a shot if she likes bad boys, but it doesn't look like she does.

And then of course the male strippers are pretty much all cut from the same block of meat, at least that's what the previews seemed to indicate.  There might be a cool guy in there but we won't know until they open their mouths.

You got that right.  She's a former beauty queen, turned bikini model, who dabbles in painting.  Next logical career move would be "movie/tv actress".

I have yet to see any "reality TV" star really make it big on some new show or movie (with the exception to one of the real world casts I THINK)  When will these "Stars" realize they're probably only hurting there future "carreers"

When will people wake up and realize they are only watch this crap cause there is nothing else on TV.  The sooner they do, the sooner the networks will stop producing this crap.

I can't STAND reality tv (allthough i did watch the Real World premier on MTV last night just because of the girl that has the big hooters...yes i'm a dog)  My wife wonders why I dont watch TV with her...I can only take so much "queer eye/law and order/marry millionare average fear factor joe blow"  Plus AH is better than TV

I was home sick with a chest cold.  Heck, I was even watching Spanish channel soap operas during the day, and I don't speak Spanish!

In my expert opinion, the Spanish soap operas are much better than ones in English, simply because the ladies are sizzling hot, more emotive, and scratch out somebody's eyes on a moment's notice.  I don't know what they're saying, but they say it well!
