Here's a thought. When you create your squad name, pick something that hasn't, say, been in use for eight years and snipe it by just putting quoties around it.

I think you would have gotten more response to this thread if you would have titled it "Thanks for Stealing our Squad Name you BASTARDS, written by a member of the Birds of Prey"

If anyone is curious what this post is about the people listed below have stolen the Birds of Prey squad name by putting quotes around it and claiming it for themselves.

first of all we havent stolen any squad name...we searched the Htc squads for all names in use..Birds of Prey wasnt in use, so we used it....and i mean the actual wording Birds of prey not an abbreviation of BoP, which could mean absolutly anything........

Instead of havoc coming to use and saying..guys our squad has the abbreviation BoP which means birds of prey, could you please change ur squad name....we would have......but NOOOO havoc had to insult us and abuse us in global channel, then other members of BoP decided to abuse me and hassle me while im trying to play the game(which is all on video )..........so we decided to stick to our guns and await skuzzyz or any other Htc staff members decision on the matter.......

Not contented with abusing us on the global channel, BoP members (havoc) decided to come on to the VOX channel we use and insulted one of our members in a very vulgar and grossly insultive manner...making death threats etc(again on video) this is something we do not take very kindly to, and in our oppinion is a matter beond hitec creation and needs to go to the internet commission .......

and i see the insults have followed from the game into the Htc forums.....by us being called bas****s by dbljack......we do not pay each month to be insulted and abused by people....if you had an issue you should have come ot us and spoken about it in an adult manner, or mentioned it to ur squad leader or Htc, approaching us in a violent and insultive manner will not be tolerated, so all videos and screen shots will be sent to Htc for them to investigate the whole affair

First off, I apologize to the entire Aces High community for not restraining myself and using an obscene word. I did, in fact, use a vulgar euphemism and will not happen again.

However, you are treading on very dangerous ground. I never spoke to any member of your squad on vox, much less made a death threat. In fact, I was muted for 20 minutes for using vulgarity, which I totally deserved, and therefore could not have made such a threat.

I challenge you to submit any evidence you have of me speaking on vox to ANY member of your squad EVER.

Your behavior is juvenile and insulting to the Aces High community.

What you are saying is, in fact, libelous and a direct violation of the Aces High Terms of Service, as well as being a violation of state and federal law.

I no longer care what you call your squad. I will, however, seek full legal remedy if you persist in perpetuating falsehoods and impuning my character.

I am done with this thread, and will post nothing further. I urge you to consider your actions and statements carefully.

You OBVIOUSLY did a search and found Birds of Prey (not BOPS) was being used. You decided to put quotation marks around it to circumvent the system from rejecting it.
I have been a member of Birds of Prey for over a year and we have never used BOPS as our registered squad name. Yes, I know you want to be like us, a successfull, well run squadron that racks up kills and runs thru NME bases like peanuts at a ballgame....but using our name will not get that job done.
Maybe you can call yourself FreeBirds, Army of Muppets, FDB's, or
hey here's a thought...try using an ORIGINAL NAME.

As this has now been brought to a public forum, I will say this.

To the extent of what we will or can do. We can ask the new squad politely if they would consider changing the name of the squad. It is up to them.

No one has a landlock on squad names. While we understand the emotion carried with squad names, we really cannot force a squad to change its name.

We also will not take it kindly if any squad member or members chooses to harass or malign other members of a squad for whatever reason.
