Build your own Gauss Rifle, Rail Gun in 10 minutes, all kinds of fun with magnets, build your own morse code transmitter (computer, serial port, freeware stuff), even a quick how-to on solar cells using a copper sheet. If you're really bored, you can build a laser transmitter out of a laser pointer and some spare parts.
