Dove in on a guy and managed to remove both outer wing panels in the pull-out.

No ailerons and very little lift. Luckily I was at altitude (~20k) when it happened so a constant descent back to base didn't result in premature landing.

Squirrely as all get out. Had to use rudder to counter engine torque so kept flying arcs. With a steep glide in I was able to throttle back completely or it would have been uncontrollable as it slowed with any power on. Touched down on the runway near the centerline.

Couldn't believe I made it home.

Haha.. I've landed many planes without all their wings but I've never shot one down when I didn't have wings!

few days ago I was attacking a B17 in my 109G6. I came in fast from front section but he ripped half my wing. As I was fast I had time to adjust trim and slowly get it under control. I turned around (with a radius of several miles) and came back at him. He was smoking and was so having trouble aiming at me coming at his six, and with my plane tilted 45 degree I managed to down hím

I tried ditching, but no success (I haven't made it since ditching model was fixed some versions back)

I'll have a look at the film and post it here. BRB

That buff sure was lower than 30k, <S> to that.

Planes are quite easy to fly without both wingtips but if I lose only one then I'm in trouble. Gotta have some training I guess

Nice pics Snefens !
