Anyone who can get elected into office probably shouldn't be there.

That's just my simplified motto for politics.

The complicated one includes quadratic equations.  Only math nerds like quadratic equations.

By the way, I like quadratic equations.

If you solve the following using the quadratic equation:  x^2 - x - 1 = 0

you end up with:  1 + sqrt (5) / 2 and 1 - sqrt (5) / 2.  Note that the '1 + sqrt (5)' and the '1 - sqrt (5)' is divided by 2.

Also note that '1 + sqrt (5) / 2' is the number phi, also known as the Golden Ratio.

The Golden Ratio is instrumental numberous things including:

• Fibonnaci Numbers
• Numerous aesthetic construction - including Greek, Roman, Itilian structures, the Pyramids, the aspects in da Vinci's painting 'The Last Supper'
• Nature - the ratio of the human body, the arrangements of pine cones, sunflowers, and even the leaves on a stalk
