Heard some pakistnis at the pizza hut talking about this very loudly and one was explaining to the other how this was like black hawk down and that the US would be presured to bring the boys home.
I never even thought of that but what a huge misscalculation is thats what someone thinks.
Clinton might risk mens lives on foolish battles with silly rules about how to fight them..but when those guys died he felt it.
Bush has no such weakness..Im not saying that he doenst care..I just think it will make him more angry, its all about will with him and he will not be the one to blink. He will leave this for someone else to clean up befor he ever backs down.
Like some of his fans have said here. Die now imolated in a jeep..die in 50 years from heart disease..its all the same.

Pongo we can't back down because of things like this, it does no good.

We chose to go into Iraq and now we have to deal with it and not back down. I would never want to give the impression that a few ambushes could make the entire United States turn tail and run from a war or battle. That would give a terrible message imo.

Nodody wants people to die but that is what happens in war.

Fox would refuse to show a game of tiddly winks if it portrayed the Bush Administration in a bad way. Let alone some bad news from Iraq.

How would showing it make the Bush administration look bad? Maybe they refused to show it for the same reasons none of the networks showed the mutilated bodies from the WTC?

I don't want this to turn into an attack you guys, personal attacks as we all know are not tolerated.

Take it to e-mail if need be.

I mean if someone invaded my country I wouldn't treat them like that.

Iraqis haven't been known for their altruism. They ravaged the Kuwaitis like a pack of dogs. We didn't go into Iraq just to liberate an oppressed people. Might be time to let them feel a bit of our might, especially in Falluja.

The images I saw on CNN had areas that were blurred... it was only after I watched CBC (canadian) that I saw the bodies that had been blurred earlier.

And of course, it's all over the internet too.

Your Opinion?

and the cost rises.  what are we getting out of this again?  not bush and his buddys.  not the iraqi's.

us, the american- tax paying, kids dying- public.

what is it gonna take for the rest of us to pay attention long enough to become outraged.

we where duped into this fiasco of a war.
our pockets are drained daily on a scale I can't even comrehend.
the best of our young men (the future of our country) are dying and being mutilated, while savages dance around their corpses.
for what?  so some rich guys can get richer?  he can't find osama so he finds hussien in the hopes that that will be good enough to get re-elected.
why does he even care if he's re-elected?  a couple hundred billion not enough of a take?  whats the plan for the next term (God I hope there's not another)?  a whole new made-up war?  or are we just gonna keep hemoraging money and younge men into Iraq?

You missed my point, I was saying Fox wouldn't show anything (forget mutilated bodies for a moment) that makes the Bush Admin look bad because it's a very Pro Bush, Pro Republican network.

It's owned by Rupert Murdoch who is a huge Republican supporter and has donated millions to the Republican party. Fox news is probably the most biased and one eyed network broadcasting and just a megaphone for the Bush Administration.

We get Fox news and Fox Freinds here in NZ and the stories they run and comments they make on events one wonders if they are even reporting the same story as the other networks.

I hate Fox and Friends...a bunch of absolute morons.

But, I like Fox news in general. If I watch TV at all it's either History channel, news, Wings or Discovery.

Fox news is the most watched news in the US and it is a needed counter balance to the left leaning CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNBC etc.

It works both ways with the news.....I see stories on Fox that no liberal news runs with.....like the Audio tape of Clinton admiting he turned down an offer by Sudan for Bin Ladden. They have an audio tape of it, but no other news would even comment on that.

I like Fox news myself, but I don't trust any one source for news and I certainly have my own opinions about everything as you may know :)
