warning message..
« on: March 29, 2004, 08:54:57 PM »
starting up AHII beta 19 i get this message:

"your video drivers do not support zbuffer biasing, please update your drivers or you will see some flickering"

my understanding was that with the Ti cards i didnt want to go above the 41.09 drivers as per skuzzy (the newer ones were designed for the FX cards)

is that no longer the case?

i'll see what skuzzy says about the driver thing, i bought was the box says is a Ti4600 and all was fine in Win98.

move to XP and upgrade the drivers to 41.09.. now i have a Ti4800. LOL drivers say so, DXdiag says so, windoze device manager says so. it's SUCH a pain to remove all the old drivers and registry keys it's not worth the effort to install something that is not assured to work.

man they weren't kidding about studder though. i almost got a headache. the whole terrain, every object, and all the gauges were flickering. only thing that stayed static was the plane fuselage. in my other post you'll see even the artifical horizon was hosed.

i hope new driver will work, and not hose up AHI (or anything else for that matter). lol
