perk thing just a test at the moment?

I had what i thought was gonna be a real high scoring run in a TBM (40eny) against an enemy fleet i managed the almost impossible and flew through a hail of ack dropped my torpedo and ran. hit several times but only fuel tank holed.
I watched the torpedo roll on into the fleet and strike the cruiser smack in the middle  
i then rtb'd from what was in essence the best i could do in a TBM alone. 1 torp and 1 hit but the perk score for this mission which i landed was very low.Ive scored more with a ju88 hitting a factory complex which was an easy task,no danger.
are ship hits low scoring?
Ive also sunk ships and got low scores...does this mean perks will be awarded for kills more than base/fleet successes?
just wanted to ask NOT A WHINE OK

would it be possible to show how many ships we've sunk in scores? as it stands i cant prove a thing   i filmed this tbm mission but the film didnt work in 1.05 :0
