A serious request...
« on: June 05, 2004, 11:56:37 AM »
I know we need to stay true to D-Day, but since this is the last weekend of AHI could we add the F6F and F4U-1D to the Allied side so the VF/VMF squads in the CT can get one last chance to fly the Blue planes? I dont think that is too much of a stretch, and since we rarely get the F4U or F6, I am sure they would appreciate it and I dont think there would be a problem of them trowing off the balance (there....I said it) of the set.

Personally, I have always wondered how a matchup between the FAA and the LW would turn out.

Rumor that I found some history site for FAA Aircraft history that all blue planes(Corsair, Hellcat, TBM, Wildcat, and more) did see little bit action on D-Day, but I don't think that is true.

I just checked the RAF link in the other thread and there were a lot of FAA squads involved:

Sqn No

808
885
886
897

All in Seafire III's from land bases.

Sqn No

816
819
838
848
849
850
854
855

All in either Swordfish or Avengers also from land bases.

I say even though they flew Spits, there was a significant FAA presence at D-Day and it would not be out of line to give the Blue planes in place of them so the VF/VMF guys get one last ride in them before AHII.

So whatcha say guys?

Most likely I wont get to fly Allied, I will probably be Axis (since I fly whichever side has less numebrs). I just thought it would be a nice thing to do, I dont really care one way or the other.

Grits that would be a good idea. Let the VF/VMF Guys get their hooks in their blue planes one last time at least, HTC can you guys atleast do THAT much foir us? Seen is how your already messing up alot of things by making AH2 and losing many pilots due to the damn graphic demands that ah2 has. IMHO.

PS.*** After this i'm pretty much done with Aces High alltogether.

Since it is the last CT setup, why not enable all 109s/190s and 262?

Ya know....for the LW squads.

Well the P-51D should be there already. Maybe add the Dora,262, and the Temp later in the week. Go out with a bang.
