How much memory do you have?  also, make sure
you HD isn't getting full.  Sounds like your running out
of either memory or Virtual memory.  Could be wrong, but
just a thought.

Film viewer appears to be screwed-up; from another post:

Various film viewer anomalies seen as of Patch 6, including:

1) Own-plane audio goes away right after engine starts.

2) Graphics not all there. Opponent's plane graphics only partially there (engine firewall is transparent, although instruments visible). Terrain tiles only partly there (black squares visible).

2) Viewer crashes after about 5 minutes into a 1.2 MB film.

This didn't happen previously in AH2 viewer (Patch 5?) if I recall. Would be nice to have a working film viewer again... :-)

The "own plane audio" thing has been around as long as I can remember. Thought it was a feature.

I'll vouch for the rest though. terrain tiles are missing or black, other planes missing a wing, and all of my films ctd about halfway through them (large or small).

FWIW, I have 1GB of physical memory and about 100GB of free disk.

There is a build issue with the current film viewier, and very strange things could happen randomly.

Would it also be possible, if you reach the film viewer on your todo list, to make your own engine be hearable?

Thanks in advance. :)

The black squares are the shadows of trees; the FV doesn't include the standing part of the trees, but includes the shadow.
