There's always console games. Never had a problem with one of those. But, I can't recall a single computer game (at least the ones I' play) that hasn't had a patch, or two or three -- usually to solve some problem that only a handful of people were having. And in the late 1990s, the years of Red Baron 2, etc., finding a game that was even playable out of the box could be a challenge.

Closer to home, lets see...

IL2 - patches there
WW2OL - oh man
WB - don't know

As you say in your "Final," you do have a choice. Personally, over a dozen times at least I've worked through problems for games I've wanted to play. But, we do live in a console world today.

Why are we getting involved in solving their problem?

Now don’t say " we are beta testing”..really, I haven’t been paid for my service...come to think of it we are paying them to get stressed out and not enjoy the product WE pay for, that I once enjoyed for close to 2 years...

I dont know about the rest of you but, I play for fun..Right now Its not fun...

Not had a CTD for a while now. Was ploughing through loads of BB's and came up with this snippet.

If you use Omega Drivers only! ( no option in ATI ones)
Go to your programs and select "Advanced Smartgart Options"
Turn OFFf "AGP writes" only. (only error checking anyway)
Leave AGP reads enabled.

kev, i also noticed really oddball things doing all the upgrades too.

i uninstalled fully, restarted, deleted all HTC folders not removed from the uninstall, defragged whole drive in safe mode, restarted scandisk, restart then installed fresh 2.03 into an fresh clean directory all has worked great since.

im going to do this same process for every 3 updates.
I don't know what to put here yet.
