That after 6 months absence we're still arguing about hosed Pac setups.

Hmmmm . . .

Be in CT tonight after reactivicating account.

Hope to see you all in real flames.

Good to have you back, Sakai.

I'm pretty sure that Vals are currently enabled.

It's  a manly plane, and I intend to fly one in a manly manner.

Forget the Val, I managed to down an F4U with my Kate last night.  Was making a bombing run on A40 and noticed him taking off.  The though of vulching him was just too tempting and it was only as I was closing in on him that I remembered the Kate has no forward armament.  Time for some improvisation ... I dove right down on the deck and passed underneath him, jumped into the rear gunners seat and pumped 7.7mm into his belly until he went down in flames!

Woot!

Last time I flew Grits and I I think (DJ111??) did this against some F4Fs, man were they some kind of pissed off.

I have to say, it's the only time I think vultching is appropriate, if you're in a Val, SBD, etc.  Too easy in a fighter but waaaaaaaaaay cool in the Katrina mas Fina.

Yup, I did manage to get a vulch in the Val, but I'm not quite to your skill level in the Kate just yet. :)

PERK THE KATE TOO!!!

LOL! Then you gotta perk the SBD5!

I took an SBD up in an HTH ffa arena, and ended up holding my own against the entire horde, and shooting down 1 spit (unknown mark), 1 109 (and severely damaging another, but kill was stolen), and a P40. All of which I out turned LOL!

Just makes me wish I had otto at times, though ;)

P.S. No I didn't land that sortie. They ganged me the whole time and I eventually went down after losing my guns, control surfaces, suffering a pilot wound, taking a round in my oil system, and dinging my prop on the water.

But I DID land a 3-kill sortie not long after that.

P.P.S. Tried to fight Blixen in an f4u just a day ago (or so) but my stick is so fubared he SOMEhow out turned me, with full flaps and gear down (LOL) but luckily after killing my viciously, he had no E and was bounced not long after ;)
