Author Topic: Radeon 7500 w/64 mb ram (Read 225 times)

Hello all,

I just rebuilt my system with an ECS K7S5A Pro and my Radeon 7500 won't be recognized! I attempted to install the drivers from the disk and it states that it can't find the video hardware. In device manager, the video is listed in unknown with the classic yellow question mark. The irony about it is that I had an old ATI Radeon Rage w/8mb ram and it's doing just fine. Granted, I'll never be able to play on this system with that. Any suggestions?

You probely have to use the updated drivers
these are the updated bios (only flash this if you have to)

Anouther trick with the k7s5a is to load each driver one at a time and do a compleate shut down and restart after each driver ., then install your video card driver and direct x
(some of the boards are very picky about this)

I have to use the updated sound on mine for ah voice to transmit and work correctly

btw im running a ati 9550 256mb card on my k7s5a and its working great .

Thanks Roscoroo! I just bought a Radeon 9200SE w/256mb ram and when I tried to boot up the computer with it in the AGP, the computer wouldn't stop beeping at me. It was a broken beep but no long pause between to signify a seperate pattern.

you could have a grounding out problem . my 1st k7s5a has to be placed in the case on top of small plastic washers and screwed in very carfully .(note you mave to check the back panel also )

that broken beep was either a grounded out board or a ram problem . thats the only times ive had an k7s5a beep at me (ive built 10+ pcs with this mainboard in it . along with still using one .

also check the bios settings and or unplug it and reset the cmos with the jumper.

I went here and posted a few things, but it looks like no one's looked here for almost a year. Also, it talks about placing a 486 fan on top of the northbridge, but doesn't describe how you connect it to power if you don't have an additional fan connector. Any ideas?
