Rhino,

It looks like us in the Redneck Riviera are going to get a taste of this storm.

This thing jumps into the warm gulf waters it can get a bunch of it's punch back.  Looks like no part of Florida will dodge this one.

Looks like I should only get some rain and maybe a little wind. Living in NW Florida today definitely has its advantages.

It is a hot, humid, swampy area, but there are some perks. The winter months are what I live for.  From October till May is awesome! No snow, beaches are great for the "Scenery" and I can ride my bike year round.

I was just kidding guys :)

I hope you all get out of the way of this storm and stay safe.

I wasnt around yet for Buelah but have heard the stories of my grandfather having to row out to the high spot in the pasture to feed the cows.  Grew up in Harlingen, TX...way down south.

FRANCES REMAINS A STRONG CATEGORY THREE HURRICANE ON THE
SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE SCALE WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS OF NEAR
120 MPH...195 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  SOME FLUCTUATIONS
IN INTENSITY ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

It is a cat 3 still according to the latest report from NHC.

I hope it does loose strength some more but don't count on it.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

...all the plans of men and mice...

I got out of Florida, but looks like I might be stuck in Alabama because of this thing slowing down and pouring rain all over the panhandle and the southeastern states :p :p :p :p

good news is that the winds have dropped down to 115mph.
I wasn't in Daytona when Charley hit, but moved there right afterwards. The place was in pretty bad shape, and that was after only a cat 1 hurricane. with Frances...

good luck to us all.

Think that all these hurricanes are part of some conspiracy by the left to keep the people in Florida out of the state in the months approaching election time..funny how Hurricane season doesn't end until November
