I disagree. When I used to bomb some, it was easy to get hits with the new bombing model (site). Just takes a little practice. I don't see where their survivability has been drastically reduced either. I think the heavy buffs would be used from higher alts (with formations) not wanting to lose perks. After all it's not like endless streams of 17s and Lancs were used at 4-5k all the time.

Dipstick,

The gunnery hit detection change has hurt the ability of bombers to defend themselves more than just about anything else.  They used to easily tear wings off of fighters and seem to have relied on the thicker wing hit detection area quite a bit.

the only side note to that would be the JU88 could dive bomb easily and did so very well.

some say the b26 could drop bombs in a very light attack angle too.
I don't know what to put here yet.

JB73, there would be a limit to the total number of drones you take. Maybe 6 at most, this would eliminate vast clouds of bombers all controlled by a single player.

JB73, I think the point was the Lanc/B17/B26 DIVE bombing you see.

A while back, I heard someone say that Lancasters made similar attacks.  But, I agree with the others, these dive-bombing heavies aren't realistic in their 5,000-ft per minute dives.  If HTC changes it, though, there will be a lot of gamers that whine.  What to do?  What to do?
